Where every child finds a place to fit in...

Lightning Bugs Children's Ministry - Kids in K-5th grade come together on Wednesday evening from 6-7:20 p.m. to praise, worship and learn all about Jesus Christ and God's word! This high-energy extension of Sunday school is an awesome opportunity for children to recieve additional Christian education throughout the week. Lessons are fun and interactive and the curriculum is all age-based to give each child a chance to learn at their own level.

  • To find out more information or register your child, please email DFLM, Elke Fehler.
  • Follow Lightning Bugs online through our Facebook Page.

Nursery - The Peace nursery is open on Sunday during the 1st and 2nd Services, as well as during Sunday school (per volunteer availability). Congregational volunteers staff the nursery two at a time, often with youth helpers. We ask that only children from infant on up to five years of age attend the nursery. All other children are encouraged to worship with their parents in the main sanctuary. Faith Activity bags can be picked up for younger children in the Narthex by the nursery door and returned after service. Please contact Nursery Coordinator Elke Fehler or visit the Volunteer Spot sign-up if you are interested in serving in the nursery ministry or have any questions about the nursery.

Cradle Roll - Also known as Nursery Roll, is a way in which Peace Lutheran church connects with new parents and offers helpful materials as they share Jesus with their children. Each Nursery Roll packet is full of materials—designed specifically for children under three and their parents—that nurture the spiritual, emotional, and physical development of a child. Mrs. Nancy Eldridge supplies these packets to parents upon the birth of their child. Email DFLM, Elke Fehler for more information.

Growing in Christ Sunday school - Children from Pre-K through High School are able to attend Sunday school classes at 9:45 a.m. every Sunday morning. Growing in Christ follows a same-age classroom model so students learn and grow in faith alongside their peers. Together, they explore the Bible, draw connections to the Small Catechism, and learn the traditions of the Lutheran Church. Guests are always welcome and encouraged to attend!

Peace Lutheran Youth - Our youth ministry is a safe and embracing environment for students in Grades 8-12 to come and hang out with other Christian teens. We regularly study God's word and serve in our community.  Youth Group meets every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in the Youth Room in the Youth Activities Center. The Lighthouse Group also meets Wednesday nights from 6:00 p.m. - 7:20 p.m. for devotionals and fellowship. Email the Directors for more information.

Middle School Confirmation - 6th, 7th and 8th graders are invited to join us in our Youth Activities Center every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. for our exciting and challenging Confirmation program. Each year students learn more about their growing faith from adult mentors and also go on a weekend long retreat to Camp Lone Star.  Please email Pastor Rynearson for more information on how your child can begin the Confirmation program at Peace!

Vacation Bible School - Every summer Peace offers a VBS unlike any other. Our week-long outreach program encourages children to help spread God's word! We offer free snacks and T-shirts to all the participants and often begin with a large Kick-Off Water Festival on the Sunday before. Check our website often for updates on the next VBS theme!
