Children

At Peace Lutheran Church our Children's Ministries welcome you and your family with open arms!

We offer a number of programs, events and children ministry opportunities for our families here at Peace.

The Peace Lutheran Church Kids Ministry Mission Statement - To encourage children to know and trust Jesus Christ as their Savior and in partnership with their parents, equip them to lead a Christ-centered life.

Our Motto - Bring Jesus to children and children to Jesus

Where every child finds a place to fit in...

Lightning Bugs Children's Ministry   **Suspended**

- Kids in K-5th grade come together on Wednesday evening from 6-7:20 p.m. to praise, worship and learn all about Jesus Christ and God's word! This high-energy extension of Sunday school is an awesome opportunity for children to recieve additional Christian education throughout the week. Lessons are fun and interactive and the curriculum is all age-based to give each child a chance to learn at their own level.

  • To find out more information or register your child, please email the church office.
  • Follow Lightning Bugs online through our Facebook Page.

Nursery - The Peace nursery is open on Sunday during the Service at 9 am, as well as during Sunday school 10:30 am. Congregational volunteers staff the nursery two at a time, often with youth helpers. All children are encouraged to worship with their parents in the main sanctuary, but the nursery is there for our guests and visitors any time you need it. Faith Activity bags can be picked up for younger children in the Narthex by the nursery door and returned after service. Please contact Nursery Coordinator Roslyn Melde  if you are interested in serving in the nursery ministry or have any questions about the nursery.

Cradle Roll - Also known as Nursery Roll, is a way in which Peace Lutheran church connects with new parents and offers helpful materials as they share Jesus with their children. Each Nursery Roll packet is full of materials—designed specifically for children under three and their parents—that nurture the spiritual, emotional, and physical development of a child. Mrs. Nancy Eldridge supplies these packets to parents upon the birth of their child.

Enduring Faith Sunday school - Children from Pre-K through High School are able to attend Sunday school classes at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday morning. Enduring Faith follows a same-age classroom model so students learn and grow in faith alongside their peers. Together, they explore the Bible, draw connections to the Small Catechism, and learn the traditions of the Lutheran Church. Guests are always welcome and encouraged to attend!

Middle School Confirmation - 6th, 7th and 8th graders are invited to join us in our Youth Activities Center every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. for our exciting and challenging Confirmation program.
